Introducing
The Music Megastore Discovery Tool ♥ Think Tinder, but for new music.
At the heart of The Music Megastore is the discovery tool; Equal parts Tinder, Release Radar, IG Story and good ole' record store listening bar. Fans put the headphones on and preview new music then follow the links to buy it directly from the artist.
Every artist gets on the radar: no bidding, no algorithm, no hoping Spotify reviews your pitch. New listings stay discoverable for 21 days, then live on forever in the only (as far as we know) music directory for human-made music.
What you get
- Every release immediately lands in the discovery tool for 21 days.
- Every listing becomes a permanent part of the human-made artist directory, searchable by fans forever.
- Artists can list one release at a time. A single or an album.
- An album can include up to 15 thirty-second preview clips.
- Artists choose where fans go to buy. Link to your website, a direct to artist payment app, or (if you must) a streaming platform.
How it works
- Each release must be no more than 21 days old. Music is only new once. Our goal is to send the bat-signal for new music dropping globally. A single release radar, not platform dependent.
- A release must be human-made. We don't accept AI music and if we detect it we reserve the right to remove it, no refunds. Every release goes live as soon as you publish it.
- The discover tool shows new releases (from the last 48 hours) in order, first. Any listing that is 3–21 days old will be randomly shuffled so every visit feels fresh to fans. Fans can filter to search for their favorite genres. The "Expiring Soon" filter will show fans listings with 3 days left.
IYKYK
Streaming economics don't work.
10 million streams = $10,800
(That's $10k once. Not every month or year.)
- That is not a livable wage, and it is not a sustainable music career.
- It's time to stop giving away our music for free.
